Family Hiking Weekend August 7th - 8th
Come join us at Meany Lodge for an adventure filled weekend of hiking, great food and family fun!
Meany Lodge will be adventure central for exciting outdoor activities for all ages. Hikes are
organized for both Saturday and Sunday in the Stampede and Snoqualmie Pass areas. Choose from hikes
suitable for children as young as 2, or other hikes that are considered strenuous. Swim in a mountain
lake or take a berry hike through acres of salmon berries, huckleberries, and wild strawberries.
After the day of hiking, return to the lodge to clean up and relax with friends. Everybody will enjoy
afternoon and evening activities, as well as a scrumptious family dinner and dessert. Sunday morning
starts early with a hearty breakfast. After making your own sack lunch (everything will be provided),
we head off for another day of adventure.
It's your choice of accommodations. Sleep in the lodge or pitch a tent under the stars. There is
ample space to pitch a tent close to the lodge, or you can find your own secluded spot on the
property. The lodge facilities are available all night, including men's and women's restrooms and
showers. The lodge sleeps 90 in three hostel-style dorms for women, men, and families. There is
limited self-contained motor home parking at Meany.
The cost for the weekend is $40.00 for adults (age 14+), $20.00 for children (age 6-13), and the
little ones 5 and under are free. Fees cover organized hikes, activities, overnight accommodations,
afternoon snacks, a scrumptious dinner (including a delicious vegetarian entree), hearty breakfast,
and a sack lunch for Sunday's hikes.

Meteors @ Meany August 13th - 14th
Come watch the Perseid Meteor Shower at The Mountaineers Meany Lodge up on Stampede Pass. The Perseids
is one of the best meteor showers to observe, producing up to 60 meteors per hour at their peak. The
shower's peak will likely occur on August 13th - 14th, but some meteors are
visible any time from July 23rd - August 22nd. The radiant point for this shower
will be in the constellation Perseus. Look to the northeast after midnight.
The Mountaineers' Meany Lodge has plenty of dark sky which will make the viewing more spectacular.
And Meany's ski hill offers a great place to set up lawn chairs and spread out blankets for watching
the show. The site opens at 7 pm, and we'll have guided tours of the stars with local astronomers
starting at 9 pm. This is a free event and all are welcome. If you don't feel like driving home
afterwards, click

to stay at the lodge for $25 per person, including breakfast the next day.

Mushroom Weekend October 29th - 31th
I know you are all wonder what is going through our webmasters head, it August and he is pushing
an event in October !!!!. Well this is just to wet your appetite (pun intended).
Knowing how rainy and damp the Pacific Northwest Autumns are; what better place to find all kinds of
fungi. What with all the bewildering types out there, wouldn't it be nice to have a guide to tell you
"Nope - pretty, but can't eat it" or "WOW - Chantrelles"; then, this is the weekend you should
come to Meany. This event sells out rather quickly, so to give all of you an advantage, I will have
Registration open when I send out the September Meany go_guide. To see what all the excitement is
about go to the
mushroom webpage
Meany Group Rental

- Seattle University Freshman orientation retreat
- Garfield "The Messenger" planning retreat
- Oak Harbor youth group winter weekend
