Is regular self-care part of your routine? If you're like most women, the answer is a resounding NO!! You've probably fallen into the bad habit of running all day long, doing things for family, friends and work. By the end of the day you're exhausted and have nothing left to give yourself. But if you don't take care of yourself, who will? A lack of consistent self-care impacts not only your vitality, but your physical health and peace of mind as well. It's no fun to be around an overtired, stressed out person. Even if it's yourself!

The benefits of taking the time to nurture yourself are powerful and scientifically proven. When you take the time to slow down, unwind and turn inward, you become rested and relaxed. That's good for you, and everyone around you. You become more patient, loving and generous. Your sense of calmness and control increases so you're more optimistic, confident and capable of handling life's ups and downs. You might even regain your sense of humor!

The annual Meany Women's Wellness Adventure Weekend is a wonderful opportunity for women of all ages, sizes and fitness levels to slow down, unwind and attend to their own needs without fear of judgement. The weekend's theme is "Invigorate, Refresh, Inspire" and will offer hiking, massage/spa treatments, nutrition, and a variety of exercise and fitness training led by credentialed instructors/trainers.

Come alone or with a friend and spend a weekend relaxing, learning new things and taking care of your own needs. It's lots of fun, and a great way to spend a weekend! We're still in the process of setting up this year's program, but here is the program list from last year. As we get instructors information, we will post it to the Instructor Bios page, but go look and see who we have so far.
